Our Labrador puppies are bred to give you the best possible Labrador pup that
money can buy. If you want a hunt or field test dog, hunter/companion dog,
obedience, agility, search and rescue dog, that can be your special friend
and companion, a Deep Run puppy will be just right for you.

Our puppies are bred to provide you with a pup free of genetic defects, pleasing in appearance, and intelligent with a good attitude for learning. To the best of our knowledge, our breeding stock is free of common hereditary defects such as hip and elbow dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, central retinal atrophy, cataracts, and thyroid disease as well as Exercise Induced Collapse, Centronuclear Myopathy, Retinal Dysplasia and Oculoskeletal Dysplasia.
When genetic tests are available for hereditary diseases, we usually have our dogs tested by an approved laboratory.
We now know that some of these diseases, previously perceived as hereditary, are influenced more by rearing, feeding, and neutering programs than previously thought. We use the most current guidelines for nutrition and environment to give our pups the best possible start. We provide you with essential information on nutrition, body scoring and health care so you can take over when you get your puppy to provide an optimum environment.
We have been breeding Labradors for twenty years at this location, over 40 years in all and have faith in our breeding program, because it is backed by experience, education, and application.

 Casey is the son of GCH Can/UKC CH Poplar Forest Play It Again Sam UD RE MH, the first ever and only to date GCH, UD, RE, MH Labrador Retriever and CH Deep Run City Lights JH.Casey is already show pointed and plans to finish his AKC CH this summer. Casey is a 90 pound yellow Englsih style labrador, very happy and upbeat, and affectionate. He is an excellent marker, and runs blinds with enthusiasm. Casey is OFA Excellent, OFA Elbows, EIC & CNM Clear, PRA & RD/OSD Clear, Thyroid Normal, OFA Eyes Normal, OFA Cardiac Clear by Echocardiogram. He does not carry the long coat gene. Venus is the daughter of Watermark Ticket to Ride MH and Deep Run Tutti Frutti SH.She is a truly fun loving dog, filled with joy. She is an excellent retriever, both land and water, and will be getting her Junior Title this year. Venus is a 70 pounds American Field style labrador.  Sam, is one of the few Grand Champion Master Hunters in the history of the breed. Sam completed his Utility Dog title in Obedience on April 8, 2012 and Grand Champion in January, 2013 making him the first Labrador to have ever achieved all these titles (GCH/MH/UD).An excellent hunting dog, performance dog, and best friend, Sam is producing pups with good looks, drive, and working ability. Madonna is a lovely all English female sired by BISS CH Borador's By George, the Number 1 Labrador in the US in 2001. "Gordy" has won several specialty shows and was a top producing US sire. Madonna's mother is a granddaughter of BISS CH Caer Bren Mr Pickwick, JH, a large and handsome dog with Specialty wins. She is a repeat breeding of CH Belquest Bahama Breeze and litter sister to CH Belquest Lovely Lady Lumps (Fergie) Number 1 Labrador in the US. Madonna is sweet and playful, she loves to retrieve, and always has a ball or stuffed toy in her mouth. Like her dad, her tail wags constantly. Other Madonna pups are handsome examples of perfect Labrador Retriever type and temperament. We expect possible Show, Performance and Companion pups from this pairing.  Deep Run Mad Hatter is an exceptionally handsome chocolate son of GMHR Deep Run After Six MH (Buddy). He is an excellent marking dog, and will be running Derby Trials this summer. He has his Junior Hunter Title, and has one Senior pass (he has run one Senior).Like his sire, Hatter has a great sense of humor, and likes to clown around. We are never quite sure what he is up to, but it always makes us laugh. Hatter weighs 80 pounds, loves the water and is an excellent retriever. Russell is a lovely dark chocolate English style Labrador sired by Specialty Winner CH Wilcare Leisure Suit Larry JH. She is one of the two girls we kept from this exceptional quality litter. Russell is sweet and outgoing, loves to retrieve tennis balls and swim in the ponds here at Deep Run Farm. We were fortunate to purchase Trip from Mary Tatum DVM just before Trip started his Derby career. Trip's early training was done by Mary and Adam Casto.  Deep Run Gypsy Gold, SH is a daughter of GMHRCH Deep Run Desperado MH and Deep Run Tutti Frutti SH. Gypsy is a full sister to Deep Run Gold and Glory, JH. Gypsy is a petite yellow female, she weighs about 50 pounds. Her speed and superior marking ability make her one of our favorite girls. She is running Master this year and has 2 Master passes already. Siskel is a big handsome son of two Specialty Winning Labradors, both ranked US No 1 Labrador in 2001 (Gordy) and 2006 (Lacey) Siskel's sire BISS CH Borador's By George is the top producing Labrador in AKC for 2007, 2008, 2009. With his exceptional outgoing friendly temperament, Gordy met all comers with a big stuffed toy and a request to pat and play with him. Gordy has also produced numerous hunt test and performance titled dogs. Siskel's dam BISS CH Sunspot's Lace'em Up JH WC is a spectacular showgirl, and won accolades from many judges who saw her during her year of being campaigned. Lacy has also been a great friend and fun companion for games of fetch or long walks. Lacy spends some of her time at Deep Run staying fit swimming, running and retrieving. Carly (Deep Run You're So Vain) is a lovely golden yellow daughter of Deep Run Casablanca MH and Can/UKC CH Deep Run Fashion Statement JH. A knee injury put a stop to her show career, but not to her love for retreiving. She is a very happy and energetic girl, and will retrieve bumpers in the water for you all day long. All DEEP RUN puppies are born in the house,
have dewclaws removed, are wormed and vaccinated with the best biologicals
available. Pups are handled and well socialized, introduced to the collar and leash and
pigeons before they leave. Weather permitting, they are also introduced
to the water. Most puppies are sold before they are old enough to leave, so we recommend a
deposit as soon as you decide on a litter. If you come to pick up your
pup and don’t find him or her suitable, your deposit will be immediately
refunded or transferred to another litter. Please call Jack or Phyllis
to discuss your special needs in a Field bred Labrador pup.
