DEEP RUN FARM is a canine training facility and health care center run by Jack Jagoda and Phyllis Giroux, DVM.
The facility consists of 118 acres, with two large ponds and 70 acres of open fields for training and wildlife. We have 30 indoor runs, and 30 outdoor runs, with a special puppy care area, private veterinary clinic, and pet supply retail area.
Jack has been actively involved in breeding, training, and trialing retrievers since 1974. He is currently the president of the North American Hunting Retriever Association and head trainer at Deep Run Farm. Deep Run specializes in electronic collar training for companion and hunting dogs. We also run a full schedule of NAHRA and AKC Hunting Tests.
Phyllis is a veterinarian with a special interest in reproduction, sports medicine, and holistic health care. She is a certified Animal Chiropractor. Phyllis has been active in many areas of the purebred dog fancy since 1974, and has trained and exhibited dogs in breed, obedience, agility, and field. For the past 4 years, she has devoted herself to developing new training techniques with the remote trainer, and maintaining peak performance in the field.
Jack and Phyllis offer forty years of combined experience with retrievers for sport and companionship. They have conducted seminars and demonstrations all over the world. They are members of the Tritronics Pro Staff, and travel yearly to the Great Outdoors Festival in Memphis, the Outdoor Sports Show in Harrisburg, PA, and the Outdoor Expo in Chantilly, VA. They are currently working with Laurie Morrow on a First Aid Field Guide for Orvis, and a series of books on Retriever Training to be published by Willow Creek Press.
